Have you tried cleaning the cartridge? More troubleshooting in the link below....(also there is an option on some printers to print in Backup mode)

I found that turing the printer off and turing it on very quickly just as the lights go out worked for me. I seem to have to do it all the time now.

Hello there,..... I'm having the same ' refer to printer documentation issue . I've cleaned the cartridge contact point with witchhazel (astringent) but am not sure where to clean on the printer.... Is it the series of metal dots that are located in the cartridge well?

The printer was working before and has given me good service for ages....so I'm not giving up on it yet :0)

I'm having the same problem. So it's a cartridge error do you think. Isn't it possible to clean contact points with cotton wool and alcohol?

I've still got my printer after all these years pulling my hair out. Trying various things to get it working, somethings work then don't, so I cannot tell you exactly what works. But at this moment what works for me is changing BOTH cartridges at the same time even if it does not need it. Hope this is some help.

i GOT AROUND THIS PROBLEM!!  In the print window go to preferences. Then printer services. Then print a diagnostic page . then print page. CLOSE.  OK. PRINT WHAT YOU WANT.
