HP J4680 all in one
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Have had this printer several years but it doesn't get heavy use. Recently on a page of text the tops of letters on various lines are missing--perhaps every 5th line or so. Have tried cleaning printheads etc. Test page comes out perfectly, not so my printed page. Is it time I got a new printer? Am using Times New Roman font. Tried using Arial and it was better, but still imperfect spots here and there. My cartridge is fairly new, plenty of ink in it. Thanks!

Hey there! @ValM27, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand that you have printing issues with your printer.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Kudos to you for trying out the steps before reaching out to us.

Have you tried performing a copy from your printer? And does the issue persist?

Please download and install 5.0 printer driver directly from apple website and check if the issue persists.

Download 5.0 OSX drivers using this link.
