HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3788

My sister bought the printer (HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3788) at Abu Dhabi and she bring it here in the Philippines.  I've even used it before, it still works until the ink emptied . We used 652 for the ink that was bought at Abu Dhabi, I changed the ink same to what we used for the first time (652). Then, it says "Incompatible Ink cartridges". We try to reset the region and we bought ink 680. But still it won't work. It's the same problem. I've already reset my region more than 3x and now I cant rest it anymore.

HP customizes some printers and ink cartridges to meet local customer needs. If you take your printer from one country/region to another country/region, you might not find ink cartridges with the same number on the label as your original ink cartridges. If you install an ink cartridge with a different number on the label, you might see one of the following error messages:

  • Incompatible Cartridges

  • Cartridge Not Intended for this Printer

  • Incorrect Cartridges

Did an HP engineer assist you with performing a reset?

Did you receive a code from HP during the reset procedure?

Yes, an HP Agent was assisting the reset but due to difference in time I have some difficult in resetting the printer. I have also received a code from hp during the reset procedure.

We can try to perform the reset twice on the printer. If it does not succeed, it could be a possible hardware issue with the printer.

Please contact our HP Support team for Service Options as it could be a possible hardware issue:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
