Morning (or it is here!)

I have an old Laserjet 1010 which I networked with a JetDirect en1700 print server. This en1700 has been playing up and I traced it to a poor connection on the network cable socket. 

Rather than replace it, I decided to try using a spare JetDirect 175x print server I had from another printer I no longer use. It isn't the recommended server for my 1010 but it appears to work. The pages I have sent to the printer all appear OK. Are there any known issues with this combination I should be aware of?
