My printer read: "Depleted cartridges must be replaced to resume printing" , It indicated M and Y cartridges. I replaced both cartridges with brand new HP cartridges. My printer NOW reads: "There is a problem with the printer or ink system" Anyone out there experiencing same problem ?

@SeniorChief244,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges.

Have you tried to update the printer firmware?

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

To clean the ink cartridges, refer to the steps from this document.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps.
