I have HP DeskJet 2600 All-in-One Printer Series, lost its EWS admin password. I searched all the web & all userguides, I never felt HP is behind in answering this stupid question !
I cannot reset my Emedded Web Server Admin's password:
1. How to do this please?
2. why this information is not provided publicly ?!!!

I tried the steps you have shared, but I have the same problem I cannot use the EWS. And there is a reason why I use EWS, that is I use an operating system that does not support this printer.
Now I need to know the username & password for EWS & how to reset this password?!
Will appreciate your help.
Regards,
Mohammed
