@Hera5,

I read the reply and it is nice to hear from you. It looks like a hardware issue with the printer. Don't bother to uninstall and reinstall the HP printer drivers.

  • Please perform all the prescribed steps from this link: http://hp.care/2F2ivjX (HP Printers - Printer Turns Off Unexpectedly or Repeatedly)

Now check if the issue gets resolved. if it persists, then contact HP phone support to get the printer replaced. I am being honest about it by keeping your best interest in mind.

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://hp.care/2moMFSc

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you.

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂

Cheers!

@Hera5

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand you are in need of support,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

As long as you are able to print using the computer and your brother does not push the turn off printer, it isn't stuck or frozen, so does it print while it seems stuck?

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Eager to help!

If I have helped you resolve the issue,

feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon

followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution'

And Have a great day Ahead!

rather than turn it on and off! no, nothing.., and as I said in the main message, I've tried to reformat it "by the computer" but I couldn't , it"the computer" showed the message " there is no print "

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

the day before I send the message ..

No, it was ok, before my brother turn it off" without push the button" .., after that it just frozen., never been able to work with it again ..

..

I couldn'y upload the photo before.. so here it is. https://d.top4top.net/p_782h9tst1.jpg ..

@Hera5

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉

I appreciate your time and efforts,

I'm unable to obtain the product information using the serial number you had posted, either because it was incomplete or incorrect,
I request you to provide the model name of the printer instead.

Meanwhile, please try the below steps:

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

       NOTE:

HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

  9. Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Try to print.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.

@Hera5,

I read the post. Thanks for the response. As @Riddle_Decipher is out for the day, I am responding on his behalf. It is great to have you back and your time and efforts are appreciated greatly. You've done great here by displaying remarkable commitment, immense patience and good technical skills to try and resolve the issue. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

To assist you correctly I would require more information regarding this:

  • Does the printer now power on, when the power button is pressed?
  • Did you try making copies directly from the printer without any communication from the computer?

If it copies correctly, then uninstall and reinstall the printer software at the root level by following these steps:

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Then download the latest full feature driver from http://hp.care/2BNWIKH and install it on the computer after selecting the correct operating system.

Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.

This should fix it for you.

  • If it fails to copy and the printer still powers on without any error messages, then try all the steps from this link: http://hp.care/2BMbJNg (HP Printers - Improving Copy Quality)

Now check if the issue gets resolved. If the printer powers off or if it does not work at all, then there could be a hardware issue with the printer. Please contact HP phone support to get it replaced. I am being honest here without beating around the bush.
