I got this error message before and was able to speak with someone from HP (I think) who was able to remote into my computer and fix ite. The cartridge is new. Have printed using it. Power went out, and when it came back on, this error message appeared again. Any suggestions?

Hi @annarelaine,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.
I understand that you get Supply Memory Error on your HP LaserJet Printer.
Don't worry as I have a few steps that may help fix this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you listed below:
- Press the Power button to turn the product off and disconnect the power cable.
- Check and remove any packing material/orange tape from the toner cartridge, and from inside the printer.
- Clean the toner cartridge contact (metal pins) which is mounted inside the printer and check for any obstacles.
- Check & clean the vertical sensor flag. Make sure flag toggles freely.
- Check whether or not the cartridge chip (e-label) is in close touch with metal points. If not, press the cartridge a little to see if the issue disappears.
- Install the toner cartridge back and make sure it clicks in place.
- For the Products without the display
Check in the Tool Box of the printer and identify the part number. If no toner level – Replace the Toner.
Note: - After the cartridge is removed, the metal pins are hidden inside the lower left bottom cartridge area, it is only visible when cartridge are half inserted/removed

Let me know how that works.
I hope you have a good day ahead.
