Deskjet 2632
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Do you know how to align the 2632 printer? Everytime i start it up, it prints the alignment page and if I try to download updates (that don't exist at the moment) i cannot even start the alignment process, so it doesn't scan the at least 10 pages that i have for the alignment. It seems HP wants me to buy more coloured and black cartridges. What do i have to do to finally align the cartridge and stop this waste of paper and money to print everyday some alignment pages?

When you first setup this printer, after 5 pages and alignment page should print. The alignment process should only have to be done once, whenever ink cartridges are inserted into the printer. Alignment is done to get the best quality detail on your prints - mainly for photo prints.

The instructions to align are on the page that prints. Take the page that prints out, place it on the scanner bed in the correct orientation as shown on the printout, and then press the button on the control panel.

After this is done,  you should be able to print normally. Just leave the printer plugged in and powered on. You shouldnot have to align the cartridges until the next time you put new cartridges in. I think you can bypass by pressing the Cancel button on the front panel.

Try Here - Solutions in order:

'Alignment Unsuccessful' Error Message Displays

Assuming all things are equal (ink cartridges are healthy and full as explained in the document), the suggested Reset might help clear any internal printer errors.

Hopefully something will help before you get to the last option.

If you can get past the alignment issues, and if you have not done so, consider updating the Firmware.

NOTE:  Firmware is not a "fix" for the alignment -- this is intended as a "finish" course of action if / when other problems are resolved.

Firmware

Consider installing the printer Firmware

READ (when provided) all instructions before installing the firmware

If / After the firmware is installed, Restart the computer and log in

Reminder:  Firmware is only updated after the printer software is installed / functional.
