I have a HP Laserjet 600 M602 that is giving a 49.2F.FF error. it is not connected to anything at the moment. you can try and print a usage page, it states that it is in que then it spits out a blank sheet of paper then gives the error code. already tried firmware and it said that it took. help please!

Your post is confusing. Printer does have an printq as only computers have them so I do not if you are trying to print a page from the administrative reports menu on the printer or what. This printer has smart firmware so when you turn on the printer with nothing connected press the X cancel key which should bring you to the boot menu. Do a partial disk clean and then reboot and see if you get anything else.

My apologies, the printer was connected to the network when this first happened, however after we put another printer in its place because we couldnt clear the code, as a stand alone without being connected we still get the same error code. I will try your suggestion thanks !

Your post is still confusing. If you are getting the error when connected to a computer or network the issue is probably a bad print job or the driver has issues. The way you test is to just have power going to the printer and turn the printer on and see if it comes to ready and if you can print config pages from the administrative reports menu on the printer. If you can print without error, then the issue is on the computer side with either a bad job or driver issue.

The inital error started when the printer was connected via the network, however the printer is now sitting on the work bench plug into nothing but power. you can turn it off and clear the error. when you try to print a internal status page it spits out a blank piece of paper and goes right into the code again. hopefully that is a little clearer.
