I received my Laserjet Pro M252dw today from Amazon and when I plugged it in, it started bellowing out with what looked like smoke or a very fine dust cloud. I immediately turned it off and waited an hour or so. When I turned it on again it seemed to be ok and allowed my to connect it to my wifi and I installed the correct drivers on my macbook. When it tried to print a test page it stopped and an error saying 50.3 Fuser Error "please turn devive off then on". Now it wont do anything without displaying this code. Is there a quick fix or do I need to send it back to have the fuser unit replaced? Thanks

In the USA Fusers run on 110 volts.
The product number of your machine should indicate the voltage that is designed to run on.
Usually they will also be a label on the back of the machine that will specify the voltage.
In Australia the voltage is 220 - 240 volts so you have very likely cooked the Fuser and possibly the power supply too.

Sending it back would not be financially worth it. It would cost over $200 to send it back to the USA from Australia. Where would i find out the correct voltage? I don't think they sell this model in Australia so it is definitely something i need to check, thanks for the heads up. Is there an easy replaceable fused part for this model? Thanks heaps for your reply.
