I have the error  "68.0 Permanent Storage Write Fail" popping up on the printer regularly.  It can be cleared by pressing Ready, but it always returns shortly thereafter.  I performed an NVRAM init, which did not fix the problem.  The printer is on a network, if that makes any difference.  Any ideas what else to do or what is causing this error?  Thank you.

You may have to replace the formatter as the "0" in the error indicates it is onboard NVRAM having an issue and it can not be replaced.  You could try a disk initialization but I doubt that will work since that usually gives the error 68.1.  Since the printer is on a network and it means you have a network card installed, I would remove the network card with the power off and then do the NVRAM initialization.  After the printer comes to ready, run a couple of internal reports to see if it is working ok, then turn it off and put the network card back in and see what happens.

I tried the disk initialization also which didn't work.  I will replace the formatter and let you know the results.

Did replacing the formatter work?
