Color LaserJet Pro M452dw
Microsoft Windows Server 2008

I have 2 of these printers - Color LaserJet Pro M452dw and a monochrome printer of the same generation that started to get the 79 Service Error code and resets every 1 minute when they are connected to a network with an ethernet cable.

I have tried resetting all each device using the directions in the forums.  Powered them off and on. etc etc etc.

It is strange that all 3 devices are doing this at the same time.

Any assistance would be most welcome.

I found the answer by calling enhanced support [edited]

I had to disconnect the printer from the network.

On the printer console

Enable WIFI Direct

Setup Reports-> Network Summary Print the network summary

Connect using WIFI Direct with a tablet or phone using the WiFI direct password

Go to the IP Address under the Wi-Fi direct setup on the print out

http://192.168.223.1 for the web interface

Go to the Networking tab

Select Advanced on the left pane

Uncheck the protocols you do not need.  We are a windows only shop.  Here are the settings that are checked.

IPv4

IPP Printing

WS-Discovery

Enable DHCPv4 FDQN Compliance with RFC 4702

BOOTP

WS-Print

DHCP

AUTOIP

Go to the bottom of the page and select apply

Go to the top of the page and select Apply

On the printer console

Setup Reports-> Network Summary Print the network summary

Verify the settings have changed.

Plug in the network cable.  You may have to power the printer down and back up for it to

grab it's IP address if you are using DHCP

well, as i see u have a error message popping up as printer restart,

please follow the below steps

1. disconnect the network cable from the printer, and restrt the printer .

2. check if printer is coming to ready

3. if printer is coming back to ready,

   a. access the setup menu>network setup>link speed> make it 10-T half

4. go to the pc- open RUN command, type SPOOL , u wil see 4 files, open the PRINTER- file-- select all the files and delete them.

5. now connect the ethernet cable and turn on the printer-  it as to come to ready, if nt check with other network cable.

perform this steps, and let me know the status.
