is there a replacement cartridge for the 902 that continues to leak when opening no matter how careful I am?

Are you using HP ink cartridges?

 

If the ink cartridge is leaking, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options. Check and clean the ink cartridge slots if there is any ink spillage.
