A5 Printing is slow

Hi

We are using HP Laserjet M1005. While we print 2 copies in A5,the first copy is printed in 7 seconds while for second copy it takes more than 10 seconds and then it starts printing the second copy, so totally it takes 30 seconds to print two copies.

But if we print 2 copies in A4 sheet, it prints 2 copies in 15 seconds.

My observations: After printing 1st copy, the roller is continuously spinning and after 10 seconds it pulls the second paper.

We tried everything setting paper size and output size as A5 but nothing worked.

Please advise.

Make sure you a setting paper size and type correctly. Also realize that narrow media will print slower due to the need to avoid overheating the fuser, as narrow media does not wick the heat away from the edges.

Thanks for your prompt reply.One of our customer is using the same printer and they could able to print faster in A5.
