Does M501dn and M402dn support printing on A5 paper by long edge side

To solve slowly printing on A5 due to fuser behavior

A5 paper is 8.27" on the long side so you should be able to. You will likely either need to setup a custom size or play with the portrait/landscape settings. This may not completely eliminate the slow down as the paper is not going all the way to the edge and it might still slow down to prevent warping of the fuser rollers. The behavior as you call it, is designed to ensure that you get the most life out of the printer as possible. If it did not slow down, everyone would complain about short fuser life.
