Operating System: iOS 12 - 12.0.1

hello! All of the sudden there is a close tray error on my printer. I've restarted several times. I've unplugged and replugged everything in. I've held down the power for 15 seconds. there are only a few pieces of paper in the printer and i have made sure it is aligned correctly. I've had the printer for three years with no issue.

The error is: A paper Tray is open. Close the tray to continue.

This error is not related to the MacOS. It is a hardware related issue on the printer. 

 

Follow the steps mentioned in this document that may resolve this issue.

 

If the error persists, resetting the printer to its factory defaults may help. Make sure you are able to bypass the error and go to the Home screen of the printer.
