Hi, here's what I know:
- all letter-sized documents now print with a small black line on the left side.
- the line is less than a quarter of a centimeter (sorry, not good at measurements, had to use a ruler)
- the line runs the entire length of the page
- the line appears to slant slightly as it runs to the bottom of the page, leaving a space of white about the width of the line itself.

Perform a half test. Put a sheet of paper on the manual feed tray 1 and open any paper trays. Now print a self test and when the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop printing. Now remove the toner cartridge and look at the image below. If the defect is present the issue is the toner cartridge and nothing else. If the defect is not present, then the fuser has an issue and probably needs to be replaced.
