Hi, unboxed this tonight and followed the setup sheet (which was very basic), removed the obvious red tabs (which curiously aren't mentioned in the setup??). Upon power-up, I get a "50.4 Fuser Error - Turn Off Then Turn On"
I have tried the very basic suggestion of turning it off and on again several times, and it's always the same. The fuser error prevents use of all the machine functions, it's essentially useless in it's current state, I can't even scan (why do I need a fuser to scan?)
Please help, is there anything I should check? Disappointed it's DOA and keen to get it working.
Thanks.

Hey there! @MarkG1234, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you bought a brand new printer and you are getting 50.4 Fuser Error on your printer.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
As you mentioned you bought a brand new printer and you are getting 50.4 Fuser Error on your printer.
I have checked the records and found that 50.4000 is a Fuser drive circuit error.
The fuser has a problem. These errors all cause the printer to stop working.
The fuser needs to be replaced, please contact HP support for service options.
