Bypass setup cartridge on LaserJet M577

My father-in-law bought a LaserJet M577 at an auction and we purchased new HP toner for it as none came with it. He tried installing the toner, but gets an error about needing to insert the setup cartridges. We don't have them, so that won't work. I'd ask in the office, but I'd like to help him get it taken care of before Monday.

Anybody know the steps?

There are no setup cartridges required for a LaserJet. Is this possibly a Pagewide 577?
