Product: M880

I have an open box fuser kit (C1N54A) and it is in the original box but not in a sealed bag.  I can't tell if it is unsealed and new or used.  Is there some way to tell if it is used without installing it on a printer.  It is a 110V fuser kit that fits M855 or M880.  Thanks in advance.

There is no physical way to tell other than examining the rollers to see if there is evidence of toner or wear.
