This is a used printer that was given to me, would like to get it up and running.

Every print is bad down one side of the page, have scanned a colour test print to show results.

Would a new set of toners fix this or is it a different problem?

Any help appreciated.

Best regards

To be honest it looks like the fuser or transfer belt has an issue and not the toners. If the transfer belt the defects will be the same every other page and if the fuser defects will appear on every page. Hope this helps.

After opening the back panel on the printer and locating the fused roller, it is clear to see a rip towards the one end of the black sleeve (assuming that's the fuser heat roller - teflon like material).

Your advice was spot on.

Thank you very much.
