CP1515n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My CP1515n laser printer has always been a bit tempramental (it was 7 years old when I got it) eg sometimes would need  to press the OK button to get it to contnue to print, didn't always pick up the paper -- but now it occasional switches itself off in mid-printing, and when I restart it defaults to French instructions. Any suggestions?

Ther're some cases which CP1515n happens often.

Paper in tray seems doesn't move a bit - can peer it from top of tray by fliping it up and use a flash light is better

 1. if pick-up roller turns - pick-up roller should be replaced.

2.if pick-up roller does not turn - deeply problem needed to be fonud

3.print one page fine but the continuous always jams - pick-up roller should be replaced.

4.pick-up roller turns and turns so it will grab continuous second page but you only want print one page - it will jams two pages of paper which the first one jamed at fuser but printed and the 2nd page is blank which jamed at input path where just left paper tray not far but often needed to get it out from rear door opening - sticky solenoid problem of paper-input assembly - not easy to take care of

5.pick-up roller did not trun but CP1515 else rollers turning like they will never stop - it truns like it will pick-up paper but it pauses for a little wile then it turns again like it will never stop - if you let it be all on its way it will end up stop and show 59.C0 error - hardware problem needed to be fixed.

Thank you for your reply and the links you have provided. It seems that perhaps the main problem might be a sticky solenoid, and a fix is suggested in one of the links. So I shall have a go at that.
