MY CP2025 Color Laserjet will feed a blank page and then start printing halfway through the second page and then stop just before the and 2nd page ejects with paper jam in tray 2 error. Same problem if you use tray 1. The pickup roller has been replaced but the same issue persists.

Sounds like it's a so called "Sticky Solenoid" problem.
The pick-up roller's turning timing is wrong which's delay or shortly than needed.
http://westhillprinters.blogspot.com/2011/12/sticky-solenoids.html
The Solenoid hided at right most of the pick-up assembly (right most of the pick-up roller) which controls the turning timing of pick-up roller.
It's a difficult deep place to get to, so don't try to dismantle CP2025.
The easiest way is to cut the black plastic off which covered outside of the solenoid - just a area no big than thumb toe will be done. Then you will see the solenoid seating there. There's no need to try to take the solenoid out from the frame
Get the spring(don't lose it) of and take the metal out to clean it off or just insert a V-shape paper in-between and all will be done.
Be careful not to lose the sprint and the L-shape metal under working.

I had this and went through the usual:
- Heavy paper in tray 2 setting
- Clear settings back to factory defaults
- Set drivers to 'no settings'
- Change calibration timeout to max.
Some of these worked but for no more than 30-50 sheets.
Then I hit on this:
Set paper handling back to A4 plain for tray 2.
Under "extended print modes" set Plain/Transfer to "Dry Paper"
Since then fingers crossed it has been OK.
