In your machine the Imaging drums are built into each toner cartridge some machines have them as a separate unit.

Toner is transferred from the drums to the belt to form the image and then the complete image is transferred to the paper.

It is interesting that the supply status page on this machine does not list the transfer belt, if HP did not think it was going to wear out they would not have made it and user-replaceable.

Hello @qc91

On the CP5225 its not a consumable that you must change each X months like the toners

You want to change that in the case that you have a print quality issue related to the ITB only

But then again its not a requirement to change that

I beg to differ, the transfer kit is a consumable.

Print the supplies status page on the printer and it should give you the transfer kit estimated life left.

The transfer kit should be good for about a hundred and fifty thousand pages.

That supplies status page from a CP5225 its not showing a Mk % since it doesnt have one each printer that has a MK that you are supposed to replace will always have the % on this report. Then again I do know they sell those kits that have the ITB , fuser and other parts but this is just when you have an issue with those parts and since the parts are consider to be customer replaceable parts you can just buy then and replace them to continue using the printer
