As security, we require print users to enter a card number(printed as Barcode)  and passcode to access printer.  We tried attaching a barcode reader to make it easier for the user to enter barcode but the printer will not recognize the reader.  Is there a way for me to enable barcode reader as input device in our printer ?

Hi Bingbing1,

No you can do this.

However, you ahieve this level of security with a NFC (Near Field Communication) card access (touch to print).

I hope this will help you,

Cheers!

No.

A barcode reader isn't something you can plug and play in a printer.
