With windows 10 it can be an issue and most times it is the adapter is not found. The best solution for windows 10 is to purchase an EIO jet direct card and fit it in the EIO slot in the printer. If you have the N model odds are you already have a card. Attach the printer to your router or switch with a ethernet cable. Turn on the printer while holding down the green button until you see cold reset in the menu and then release. When the printer comes to ready, wait about 2 minutes and then print a config page from the information menu on the printer. Use the ip address on the second page to load the printer as a tcp/ip printer.

Hi Pannpower,
How did you install with drivers on HP site?
You can try install with HP Universall Print Driver (UPD) version 6.0.0.18449 for PCL5, PCL6 or PS (PostScrip).
You can see my post with KLuz at:
Hope this helps.
