Hi
My problem is as it follows:
Since december 2014, the HP printer has been connected through USB to the desktop (at that time using windows 8.1) and through the network to other computers. The problem is with the windows 10 desktop where it is heavily used for scanning two-sided.
Yesterday morning i came in only to discover the HP will not work under no circumstances with the Windows 10 desktop through USB - it is connected, changed the ports which are 6 of them, the cables, the desktop will say it isn't connected. However, it will connect through network for printing but not scanning, it gives out an error about HP Scanner not connected but will scan with Windows Scanner and Faxes and from the printer using the scan to network folder works - which can`t scan double-sided.
I uninstalled the driver, reinstalled with HP Support Assistant/ downloaded directly from HP, same thing. The problem is the fact that it will go to 99% on the screen that says connecting to the printer (the one detecting the USB cable) when it will say:
"
Error
An install operation took too long to execute. This is a fatal error preventing product use.
Please restart your computer, and run this installer again. if the problem persists, please check the product support web site for your product."
I tried the original CD that came with the printer, it gives out the same error message.
If anyone can help i`ll be very grateful. Thanks!
