LaserJet M12W
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am fighting M12W printer.

I am unable to connect it via wifi. When using the hp software it prompts to conenct printer via USB, then after recognizing it tries to find a list of available wifi networsk with no success.

Then I have tried to connect it via WPS (tried 3 various routers.

The funny thing is that after buying the printer like a year ago or more the only way I managed to connect this printer wirelessly using WPS. Now I have moved to another apartament and do not have access to that router.

The most iritating thing about this printer is short go to sleep time. Imagine trying to connect this printer to anything and you are wondering what is going on and it turns it went to sleep after a short period of time and also closed the wifi availibility... 😡 Can it be set via USB (as the wireless connection fails?)

I do not know if I should see this printer as a hotspot also as the HP-Print-4A-LaserJet M12 but it isn't there.

Sumarizing:

  • I have tried config via USB: no luck,
  • via WPS: no luck

Any Ideas?

Welcome to HP Support community.

Restore the default wireless settings.

a. Turn the product off.

b. Press and hold the wireless button and the cancel button, and then turn the product on.

c. Hold the buttons until all the lights blink in unison, and then release the buttons.

You can connect the printer to Wireless network using these steps:- Click here

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
