Hi @Maureen115,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you are facing issues withHP Deskjet 3050A e-All-in-One Printer wherein it does not connect to the wireless network.
I suggest that you ignore, the files that cannot be deleted and then install the printer on the wireless network by following the steps in the link: Wireless Printer Setup (Windows)
Also, you need to connect it to 2.4GHz only.
Let me know if this works.
You have a good day ahead.

Greetings @Maureen115,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you need assistance in configuring the printer on your new router, is that right?
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Are you able to make a copy on the printer?
Are you using a dual band router?
Note: HP Printers do not work or connect to 5Ghz networks. If you are using a dual band router, please give different names to 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks and connect the printer to the 2.4Ghz network.
Please click here for the user guide of your printer.
Refer to page number 7 in the user guide for the procedure to restore network defaults.
1. Press the Wireless button to display the Wireless Menu.
2. From the Wireless Menu, select Settings.
3. From the Settings menu, select Restore Defaults.
4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.
Once the network defaults are performed. Uninstall the printer software completely on the computer.
Uninstall the printer from "programs and features" which can be accessed from the Control panel.
(Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)
Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it.
(Device manager can be accessed from the Control panel.)
Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.
Click on print server properties.
You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there, if any.
Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.
Restart the PC.
Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,
Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.
It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files, ignore them).
If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.
Restart the PC again.
Download the latest full feature driver from www.hp.com/drivers and install it on the computer.
Power On/Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
This should resolve the issue you are facing.
Keep me posted.

Thanks so much for your response. I am trying to work through it.
- I restored network defaults from my printer, per your instructions.
- I uninstalled the printer software completely on the computer, with printer off and disconnected during uninstallation.
- In device manager, 3 instances of my printer were listed listed ( Named . . .Copy 1 and . . .Copy 2 in addition to original).
I was able to delete all but copy 2. The icon disappeares when I click Remove, but when I reopen Device Mgr. there it is again!
In devices and printers, server properties, I cannot delete the HP printer driver. The error message is:
"Unable to remove HP Deskjet 3050A J11 series, x64, Type 3 -- User Mode Driver. The specified printer driver is currently in use."
I have powered off the PC and printer several times. Still same problems. Should I continue?
Thanks so much foor your help and patience.
BTW, I mistakenly said my OS was Windows 7 x32. It is x64.
