Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Make sure the printer and the computer are connected to the same wireless network
  • This printer supports only 2.4Ghz network.

Step 1: Print a wireless test report

Press the Wireless and Information buttons at the same time or press the Wireless and Start Copy Black buttons at the same time. A Wireless Test Report prints with the network connection status.

If the printer is connected to the right network skip to step 3.

Step 2: Connect the printer to the network

Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons at the same time until the Power light flashes, and then wait for the Wireless light to flash. For Tango printers, press and hold the Wireless button on the rear of the printer for five seconds until the Edge lighting flashes blue.

Within two hours, press and hold the WPS button (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) on the router until the connection process begins. The Wireless light on the printer stops flashing when the connection completes.

Step 3: Print from your Apple device

  1. Open the item you want to print, and then tap the Share icon  or  .

  2. Tap Print or the Print icon  to open Printer Options.

  3. Tap Select Printer to select your printer.

  4. Change any of the following print job settings. Available settings vary depending on the app you are printing from, the print job type, and your printer.

    • Paper: Make any paper size changes on the printer. AirPrint automatically detects the paper size loaded in the printer or the size selected on the printer control panel. If the detected size is different than the paper in the tray, an error might display asking to confirm the size.

    • Number of copies: Select how many copies you want to print.

    • Black & White: Select to print in grayscale. This option only displays for color printers.

    • Double-sided printing: Print on both sides of the paper for certain file types.

    • Page range: Select specific pages within a document or webpage to print.
