Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cant get the printer to install properly and print a test page.  The computer cant communicate with it and the test page doesnt print.  I have tried to uninstall and reinstall multiple times.  I have cycled the power, unplugged and plugged back in the USB cables.  The PC never recognized the USB cable being plugged in (i have tried multiple cables and USB ports).

 

Windows 10 (64) OS and all is up to date, brand new Dell XPS

It is possible to disable the USB port on the printer. Maybe that is the problem. Easiest way to change that is to network attach it and go into the embedded web server and enable it.

Thanks.  Yes, that worked.  Just ridiculous that this printer won’t automatically connect.  Windows 10 and brand new PC....strange.  It worked fine on my old Dell.
