HP Envy 4521
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have an HP Envy 4521 all in one printer.

I have found a previous reply to this problem and tried everything suggested.  I can copy in colour, print colour when the USB cable is attached but, the remaining problem seems to be with the wireless connection.

I have checked all the settings as advised and compared to the wireless printer settings  to the usb printer  settings and  the only difference is under "Print Preferences-Layout - Advanced" there is no option for turning grayscale off, nothing.

Check to make sure that the printer is still recognized as a color printer. On your PC go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties" from the drop down menu. Click on device settings tab on the next window that opens and scroll down to find the entry for device type and make sure it says color. Change to color if it says monochrome or autodetect.

Hi Colin, thank you for your reply, unfortunately this did not resolve the problem.

I can print, in colour from my mobile phone, android tablet. I can print connected to the printer with a USB cable.

In my settings, I have now 2 printers set up one is wifi the other wired. I  have unplugged the usb to use the wifi printer.

To my mind, there is not a problem with the printer or drivers etc otherwise it would not work from my other wireless devices.

My Windows 10 is up to date and I have upgraded from MS Office 2007 to 365.

My laptop PC is a Lenovo  I have checked and that is up to date.

I saved a document in Onedrive  opened it from there printed, still no colour.
