Color printing

For about a week now my printer will only print in black from this computer.  It prints fine from other shared computers.  I tried downloading a new driver and removing and re-installing the printer.  No luck.  The printer properties screen shows "Color: NO".  Does anyone know of an easy fix for this?

Go to devices and printers. right-click and go to "properties of printer".

Go to the tab 'device settings'. 

At the bottom of the list: set the 'device type' to color.

I recently purchased and setup the HP Envy 5660 all-in-one printer.  I am unable to print anything in color.  I used HP Forum to see if I could answer my question there but have had no luck.  Is there something else I should try?

Got a new printer, HP 5746 Officejet. Intsallation all went well but color will not print from a file. The test pages come out fine but it will only print in black and white when I try to print something from my computer? Went through the Print Doctor and forums with no luck. Thought the forum question I found where it guided you to the Decives and Printers window that led to the Devices Settings tab would do the trick but alas I did not have "device type" listed in the drop down list to change to color. I have Windows10 by the way as an OS. What else can I try at this point?

I had similar problem with CP5225. The solution worked perfectly.
