My printer is smudging color toner - the image is missing some toner and it appears the toner was smeared slightly across the page. It may be the toner is not fusing to the page properly/completely.  It is also smudging toner on the first page after printing a color image.

I am using high quality xerox 24 lb./90g./m2 extra white (96 bright) premium multipurpose printer paper.

I tried adjusting using the printer properties setting to use the right paper, however, this did not solve the issue.

OK - here is my update on this issue...

My problem is with the Avery laser 05260 labels (white paper). They smudge.

I tried this with Avery 05660 (same format just printed on clear labels). They are perfect!

I guess I won't be buying the Avery 05260 labels again.

I must update this problem - the smudging occurs ONLY (so far anyway) on Avery 05260 (laser) labels and the NEXT regular paper printing.

This may be a paper problem with Avery and not a printer problem.

Also, I will try printing on the labels after changing the media type (in printer properties).
