Thanks a lot. I have tried but the problem persists: the installes version is only able to transform into text a maximum of 100 pages for a maximum of 10 days, unless I enter an activation code that I do not have. Does this mean HP does not provide a fully operational version of this software?

I don't know. Rats.
I have not seen this when using the OCR software provided as a separate download in Software and Drivers. I have always installed the Full Feature Software first and then added (download-save-install-Restart) the OCR software. I know (only from my own experience) that the OCR software is a single-license, that is, you can install it for use on one computer.
The Getting Started Guide seems to support the idea that the OCR software should work.
??
I downloaded the zip file for the OCR. I cannot test it (I have an Officejet Pro 9025 printer). The contents are limited to the setup.exe file and within that archive is further limited to the installation parameters. Still looking...
Question
Have you updated the printer firmware?

You're totally correct @Dragon-Fur, nothing much to add, indeed the full feature software must be installed first for IRIS Pro to activate.
@Luismita- please open the Control Panel and click on Uninstall a Program.
Type HP into the search bar
What exact results are shown?
May you installed IRIS OCR on any other computer at your home by any chance? it will activate on a single computer only.

Thanks for the confirmation.
Wondering if this could happen as a result of (operator) having first installed the printer application (from Easy Start) and thinking, well, "that's that - all done". This scenario might not be as likely with a Laserjet printer. ?
