My original document has an image to all edges. I tried to 'Copy' an 8x10 document. The printed copy appears to have a white 1/4" border on all sides, and the right and bottom of the image is cut off. I tired scanning & orinting that image (without moving the original). The results were similar but not identicle. Huh??? The scanned/printed image has a larger border, about 1/2". Also on both the copy and the scanned/copy the image is shifted from top left ... that is there is no information missing at the top & left edges of the image, only on the botton & right edges.

Not sure what is going on. The printer is about 16 - 18 months old and went through a move from Ontario to PEI.

I did look at the paper size via the printers settings screen and it was set to letter, so I thought something was wrong with the printer. Your message got me thinking agin, so I checked the computers advanced printer functions and found it was set to A4, not letter. That resolved the issue.

Thanks.

Hi ItsMeAlready,

I am sorry to inform you that most of the laser printers can not print/copy borderlessly. This is a limitation they have in order to protect themselves from toner spillage inside them.

I hope this will help,

Cheers!

That does explain the borders, but not the missing graphics on the right & bottom. Why doesn't it print the whole page?

This will probably have to do with the paper size you use (8x10). Please look at the supported paper sizes under the Paper-handling specifications section:
