Look at your serial number.
This is how you decrypt it:
- The first two characters are the country code.
- The third character is the code of the supply site.
- The next three characters are the date of manufacture, the first digit is for the year the next two for the calendar week.
- The last four characters are a sequential ID on that particular week.
Example : CNU1234ABC
CN=China
U=The supply site.
1= The year 2011.
23 = 23 week of 2011.
4ABC = The sequential ID.

Thanjs, but if

With my serial CNGTH990EV i have TH9 and TH is not digits.
Plus if a change last symbol, hp-site serial helper wrote - not valid - so may be it is checksum??
