I'm trying to trouble shoot some error messages and the machine is asking for passwords (admin and such) I've never changed any passwords since I've had this printer. Where can I get any and all default Password associated with this printer?

I messed with this printer for 3 hours before a dinner appointment and another 4 hours last night. Really "preturbed", (I used another word) her. This morning I went over all the steps I had done for 7 hours already. A "13.FF.FF Jams in Right Drawer" was the problem. Long story short, I pulled out the fuser and even though I looked at it last night, I found a little 1" X 1/2 " piece of paper. I put everything back and all was well.
I am a home user. I have been the only one touching this printer from the day I installed it. In my efforts to figure out what the problem might be, I came accross quite a few places where it wanted me to log in and everything wantd a password. It bugs me that I don't have them, and as best I can tell, thay aren't in the manual. Same thing happens on the computer as well. it's HP. I think I'm beginning to see a pattern here.
As an aside, I am a retired HP employee. Retired 13 years ago after 20 years of service. I was in the first wave of layoffs thanks to Carly.
Thanks again for responding as well as your efforts to solve my problem.

What issues are you having? Passwords only exist on the preboot menu which you should not need and will exist on the machine for other areas if you or your administrator gave one. You should be able to scroll down to the administrator menu which is not password protected and then scroll down troubleshooting and be able to use whatever resources the printer has to do your evaluation. If you are having firmware issues, just do a google search as you can update or reload the firmware from the preboot menu without the use of a password using the walkup usb function.
