Hello could someody help me to know if its possible to change the default comunity name for any of this printers?

this is because it is considered a vulnerability by CVE

I suspect that @jfba is referring to the SNMP community name, not the Windows printer name.

 

I've no idea whether or not this can be changed on Officejet Pro 8600 printers; with LaserJet 400 Pro M475dn, the value can be changed via the Embedded Web Server interface:

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

You shoudl be able to change the name of your printer:

 

1. Click on "Start" and go to "Devices and Printers"

 

2. Right click on the printer (e.g. HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a) and go to "Printer Properties"

 

3. Change the name of the printer (remember to click "OK" after changing!)

 

The printer should now be using the new name that you just changed.
