KukiMonster:
Could you also provide me with the instructions necessary to treset the system passord on the HP Laserjet 1536dnf?
I've peronsally set this printer up in my company's environment as a local printer and I don't remember setting a password of any kind. It seems to me that this is a common issue and I'm wondering why (aside from the fact that a secure printer keeps people from mucking around with the printer settings) the instructions to reset the printer's system password is not public information. It's not as if accessing the printer's control panel will somehow allow people to skim credit card numbers, or hack into international government networks.
Cynical banter aside, it would be helpful to have the instructions so that I can get my company's printer back online, as they're waiting to use a printer that I cannot provide for them simply because I can't enter a password that nobody ever set in the first place.
Thanks.

Hi LoneWOlf,
Usually the printers out of the box are not set with any password. It has to be done manually.
I've come across lots of people not remembering the password they set or didn't set. It happens to the best of us.
I've sent you a private message and in there contains the instructions to reset the printer.
Hope this helps! Have a great day. 🙂
