I had a depleted ink cartridge so was unable to print.  I replaced it with a genuine HP ink cartridge and it is still saying depleted cartridge and still can't print.

I saw one answer that it eventually went away and another answer saying you could click ok and still print but that isn't an option on mine.

Does anyone have an actual solution for how to fix this issue?

Thank you.

Hi,

Your printer have 4 different cartridges and any empty cartridges must be replaced to resume printing:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04331666

What cartridge has been replaced?

What cartridge is indicated as Depleted on the printer screen?

A specific ink indication is shown below or above the error as a colored circle with the specific cartridge color and indication (k=Black, Magenta, Yellow or Cyan).

Hi. They Cyan cartridge was showing as depleted, thats the one I replaced and its the one still showing depleted. I took all four out and put back after this happened just to see but still showing Cyan depleted even though its a new cartridge.

I tried replacing another cartridge and it doesnt seem to be registering the changes as the cyan is still saying depleted, and the magenta that I also tried replacing is still showing the same low level as before I replaced it. Both replacements are genuine HP cartridges.

I won't be surprised by any problem with the printhead, please try reseating the printhead.

Follow the below document and select your ink cartridge type, then follow steps 2 and 3 and check if you may see any difference:
