I tried reinstalling, removing all drivers in print management, printui.exe /s, clearing the %temp% folder, updating windows, running an sfc and chkdsk but it didnt solve the issue.
I tried plugging in the printer to a different machine and it worked without any issue. How can i solve this?

Hi,
From the Device Manager, right-click the device listed as Null and select Update Driver.
Click Browse my computer for driver software.
Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
Click Have Disk.
Open the %temp% folder, locate and open the latest HP Installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7z1234S) and copy its path from the top address bar.
Paste the installation folder path and press OK, complete any prompt to update the driver.
May you now see any difference?

Hi Shlomil,
Thanks for the quick response. The device isnt listed as null in the device manager, it says the name HP Laserjet M101-m106. The problem is its using the generic windows driver, when I try to change its properties in the devices and printers it shows its using HP LaserJet M101-M106 PCLm-S, it also shows the same in the Print Management. But I know its using the generic driver because when I go to printer preferences the pop-up menu is different and is not showing this

Thanks for the information @Adrian32111,
When you right-click the printer icon in Devices and Printers and select Printer Properties, open the Advanced tab.
What exact value is listed in the Driver drop-down menu?
