HP Laserjet mfp m126nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone, I installed the printer HP Laserjet mfp m126nw on my laptop running windows 10 64 bit, the printer worked fine with USB connection but it failed to connect wirelessly with the network. I connected it with router using WPS button, it connected but did not work. Then I reinstalled it using wizard by temporarily connecting it using USB Cable, it did not work. Then I unistalled it, reset the printer to default, power off and unpluged the internet modem(wifi router), restart the laptop then installed again, it did not join the network. Then I used HP print and scan doctor 5.1 to join it to the network, the application communicated with printer, made its settings, retreived the network credentials  but at last step when retreiving IP adress of printer it again failed and a massage appeared on HP print and scan doctor 'The device failed to connect the wireless netwok'. and Issue: 'Failed due to unknown error' I purchased this printer few years back and was working fine with wireless networks. Kindly solve my problem

@Gurprem

Welcome to HP forums, I See that you are unable to connect the printer to the computer using a wireless connection.

Did you check if the router bandwidth is set to 2.4GZ.

Meanwhile: update the printer firmware.

Refer this HP document to update the printer firmware:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
