Hello,

 

My name is Francisco and I work at East Village Dental Centre, Chicago, Illinois. I see that the M402dn automatically pushes an application called HP Smart to our Windows 10 computers. I need the HP Smart Install Control Utility for my M402dn in order to disable the HP Smart feature. May I have a download link to this please?

Hi,

The HP Smart Install Control Utility is a utility intended for the HP Smart Install feature (HP Software drivers integrated within the printer firmware), it have NOTHING to do with HP Smart other than a similar name.

 

Windows 10 installs HP Smart automatically once locating a device.

 

Right-click the Network icon on your computer and select Open Network & Internet Settings, then click on Network and Sharing Center.

From the left pane click on Change Advanced Sharing Settings, Within the Private profile uncheck the box next to 'Turn on automatic Setup of network connected devices', uninstall HP Smart and check if it may now HO Smart no longer auto install.
