Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

My business has a LaserJet Pro MFP M477fnw printer and have been having an issue lately where it is constantly giving us popups about the manual duplex. We do not use this feature and don't remember it constantly prompting us before recently. Does anyone know how to stop these prompts from showing up altogether? It's very inconvenient to have to constantly go to the printer and click prompts everytime we want to print something as it won't print until we accept the popup.

If you know how to solve the issue please provide DETAILED instructions on how to disable them. Thank you!

I realized it was a much simpler solution than we thought. Apparently under "more settings" while attempting to print something the option for two-sided printing became checked somehow. I've now turned it off on the computers in our office and I'm assuming that will solve the issue.

I would only prompt if being sent a print job that is set for duplex. Check the printer preferences in the print driver properties, sounds like duplex is turned on as default.

Our setting is already set to not print on both sides so we aren't sure why it's asking us this.

What application are you printing from?

Check the settings for that application.

Google Chrome as an example may enable manual duplexing although not selected from the driver, for such click More Settings from within the Google Chrome print dialog and uncheck the box to print duplex / on both sides from the application itself.

WHERE ARE THE SERVICE MANUALS FOR THE ABOVE PRINTER?  I'M TIRED OF THE RUNAROUND ON THIS FORUM. I DO NOT WANT THE OWNER'S MANUAL, I WANT THE REPAIR MANUAL THE SERVICE PEOPLE FOR HP USE. THE CRAP OF CLEANING THE PRINT HEAD , ALIGNING THE PRINT HEAD, ETC. IS CRAP. I HAVE A NEW PRINT HEAD AND NEED TO INSTALL IT AND WANT INSTRUCTIONS. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF CRAP HP PRINTER OR LAPTOP OR DESKTOP.  MELISSA BURNS
