Hello,
I`m having this automatic document feeder jam while trying to scan a set of documents.
Once the scan process is initiated (even before the paper is pulled in!) this "beep" sound occurs and the display says "Document feeder jam. Clear and reload".
After that, no matter what I do (open up the scanner compartment, remove the paper which isn`t even pulled in) I cannot get rid of this message on the display. Pressing "OK" doesn`t help either. I need to reboot the printer.
When I use the scanner glass (1 page at a time) everything works as expected. The problem is in the ADF mechanism as it seems. No paper is visible jammed.
I did try all mentioned basic solutions which were suggested to previous members who experienced this same problem:
1) checked for the latest firmware (using current latest: 20180130)
2) cleaned the feeder wheels using a wetted cloth
3) unplugged the power cord / reset printer
4) checked for any pieces of paper inside the ADF mechanism (there is none)
5) checked for any visible inconsistencies in the ADF mechanism (all wheels rotate smoothly, nothing special)
Is there anybody who can assist me in what to do next?

This is unbelievable: I have solved the problem myself somehow (this issue was hunting me for weeks!).
The only thing I did just minutes ago (after posting my first forum post ever!) was to start the copy process without any paper on the glass or in the feeder. After that I tried the ADF once again and now it works again!
Hope this helps someone.
