Hi @1066F,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When experiencing issues with duplex printing and page alignment in Word, even after updating the printer software, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the problem:

Check Printer Driver and Settings:

  • Ensure that the latest HP printer driver is installed. You can download this from the Official HP® Support.
  • Verify that duplex printing is enabled in both the printer properties and Word settings. Access the printer settings from Devices and Printers on your computer.

Adjust Print Settings:

  • Open Word and go to File > Print. Check the settings under Printer Properties.
  • Ensure that the paper size and type settings match what is loaded in the printer.
  • Verify the offset settings in the printer driver options to ensure there are no manual offsets applied.

Check Page Layout:

  • In Word, navigate to Page Layout and verify the margins and page size to ensure they align with your printer settings.
  • Check the Scale to Paper Size option in the Print settings to ensure it is set to "A4" or "Letter" depending on your paper.

Calibration:

  • Some printers require calibration for proper alignment. Check your printer’s settings or manual for calibration options.

Test Page:

  • Print a test page from the printer settings to check for any misalignment or margin issues outside of Word. This helps determine if the issue is specific to Word or more general with the printer.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
