Double sided copying

This printer will perform a double sided print but I can't do the settings to do a double sided copy - when I go into copy settings it gives me only 2 options 1 on 1 or 1 on 2

Hello,

Proceed as follows, to make a duplex copy:

1. Load the original documents into the document feeder with the ƭrst page facing up, and with the top of the page leading.
2. Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.
3. From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Copy icon ().
4. Touch the Settings button.
5. Scroll to and touch the Two-Sided button.
6. Swipe through the options, then touch 1 on 2 or 1 → 2 Sided to select it.
7. Touch the Black or Color button to start copying.

This function only works if you put 2 pieces of paper on then it will print one on each side.  I have a double sided document I need copying

Please put the document on the scanner glass, and then you will be guided to copy the other side of the document.

Thank you - I take it then that there's now of doing using the document feeder only if you have 2 sheets of paper to put onto 1

Effectively, if you have two originals to make a double-sided copy, you can use the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder).
Use the scanner glass, to make a copy of a two-sided original document.
