I need to install Color Laser Jet Pro MFP  M477fdw printer on my new laptop.  I was able to download a HP_Color_LJ_Pro_MFP_M477-PCL_6_v3_Full_Soln_22046 installer from the link provided earlier.  However, after I connect the printer to the laptop via a USB, as instructed,  installation becomes very slow, less than 1% per minute, and eventually fails after reaching 99%.  The error message says that the installation was too slow.

I tried it several times on 2 different laptops, result is the same.  

I would really appreciate your help with this - the printer works really well, it seems silly having to throw it out just because HP does not support the driver any more.

HP Recommended

You need to run the installation first, and you will be asked to connect the printer. Connecting the printer first or before the connect the device message is a wrong way.
